I had two of my Fjord Sunsets end up on the same wall, on either side of a mirror.

This made me consider what would happen if I started two paintings at the same time. I bought a second Arches 8x8 block (so much easier when starting with a heavy wash like this design requires) and set the two blocks side by side. The older block was shorter, so I had to put a little notebook behind it, but I was able to continuously paint from one block to another during the wash.

The result are two images that speak to each other but also stand separately.
